How to Clean Your Washing Machine to Avoid Hard Water Stains on Clothes

Hard water, which contains high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium, is a common culprit behind the formation of calcium deposits in washing machines. When hard water is used for washing clothes, these minerals accumulate over time on the internal components of the machine, such as the drum and pipes. The accumulation of calcium deposits not only diminishes the efficiency of the washing machine but also poses a significant concern for laundry. As water passes through the machine during wash cycles, these minerals can cling to fabrics, resulting in unsightly spots on clothes. Understanding the impact of hard water on washing machines sheds light on the importance of proactive measures, such as using descaling agents like CLR® Calcium, Lime & Rust Remover, to combat mineral buildup and maintain optimal machine performance.
