WE’RE A WOMEN’S BUSINESS ENTERPRISE

Our company has been certified as a women’s business enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.

Proud to be a women-owned business

“We are thrilled to be a part of an organization that is so supportive of diversity in the marketplace,” said Alison Gutterman, President of Jelmar. “We believe, as does the WBENC, that there should be no barriers in business that would keep compatible companies from working together.

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) is the nation's leader in the avocation of women-owned businesses as suppliers to American corporations. WBENC works in conjunction with women’s business organizations throughout the country to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners.

The certification is a meticulous process, which includes an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

WBENC acts as a resource for the more than 700 American companies and government agencies that rely on the certification as a part of their supplier diversity programs. By including women-owned businesses among their vendors, these corporations and government agencies are demonstrating their commitment to encouraging supplier diversity throughout their organizations.
